Jessica Luisa Estrada Foster
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (#151091) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (#18218) Registered with the State of California’s Board of Behavioral Sciences
Supervised by Ronald Mah, LMFT (#32136)
I offer relationship-focused talk therapy that focuses on how your early life experiences impact you in the present day, in order to build new, more helpful ways of relating to yourself and others. I like to use mindfulness, narrative and storytelling, parts-work, relaxation and grounding exercises, and art-based techniques to support clients of different age-groups wherever they are in their healing process.
My multicultural background and life experience has greatly informed how I view periods of transition, the need for belonging, and self-acceptance. I work with clients from a variety of backgrounds and demographics, including but not limited to older adults, LGBT+ clients, clients with multicultural and BIPOC identities, neurodiverse clients, and couples. As a clinician, I am committed to providing collaborative, client-centered therapy, holding awareness of the impact of systems on clients, maintaining a trauma-focused lens, and working to decrease cultural stigma around receiving mental health support.
I have listed a few answers to some frequently asked questions below.

questions and answers
How often would I attend sessions?
Sessions are usually scheduled for once a week, at the same time every week, although each client’s individual needs may call for more frequent sessions.
How much does a session cost?
Individual sessions
$185 per session
Couples & Families sessions
$200 per session
Sliding scale rates
I offer flexible sliding scale pricing for those with financial circumstances that make therapy with me difficult to manage finacially. When you reach out, let me know if you think you qualify for sliding scale and I will be happy to talk about your options.
How long is a therapy session?
Sessions are scheduled for 50 minutes per session, unless otherwise agreed upon between us. The cost for longer sessions is prorated from the base rate.
Are you a BIPOC therapist?
I am culturally Mexican-American and mixed-White and consider myself a clinician of color. I recognize the potential impact of my White appearance on clients in the therapy setting and I am happy to have conversations around the importance of race and culture in the therapeutic process and relationship, and on how these and other identity factors affect how we are perceived and treated as we move through the world.
Are you a queer therapist?
I identify as cis and gender-creative, use she/her pronouns, and am bisexual. I work closely with clients holding cis, nonbinary, and trans identities, and with clients with greatly varied sexual orientations and relationship configurations.
When do you see clients?
I see clients Sunday through Wednesday, from 10am to 6:30pm.
What is your cancellation policy for scheduled sessions?
I have a 48-hour cancellation policy. If our scheduled session is cancelled less than 48 hours before the scheduled time, you will be charged the normal, full fee.
Do you take insurance?
I am not on any insurance panels at this time, but I am happy to provide you with a superbill or invoice for reimbursement, if needed. Please call your insurance provider to find out your deductible, if they cover out-of-network therapy, and what percentage of the cost of therapy they will reimburse.
Do you offer telehealth/ video therapy?
Yes, I offer telehealth virtual therapy to clients in California who are unable to come to sessions in-person for any reason. Telehealth therapy looks very similar to in-person therapy in many ways, with a few notable differences. I am happy to discuss this further upon request.
